1. before startup make sure the cartridge element is in the filter and the lid is securely fastened using the lid lock ring.
2. open the suction and return lines valves ( when fitted )
3. start pump-open the air release valve on the filter lid until water flows out-close off the air release valve - check to ensure that there is a good flow of the water back to the pool.
